About Us
Multiple instructors with years of experience

FSH, Fox School of Horsemanship, was establish in 1969 by Barbara and Rick
Fox in the
Midwest. Rick had grown up on horseback playing cowboys with his sister
on the family farms. Meanwhile Barbara was doing the Equitation
Division on L.I. New York.
After she graduated from the Potomac Horse Center in Maryland in 1968, Barbara was hired by a large riding program in Kansas City , Missouri.
This is where Barbara and Rick met and the rest is history. 2008 marked the 40th anniversary of that first date. During those 40 years Barbara has taught hundreds of children and adults to enjoy riding. Daughters Alisha and Holly shared the love of horses and were founding members of Oak Creek Pony Club. Alisha joined her Mom, Barbara, in the FSH instruction program in 2007, after completing 1 ½ years in England studying for and passing British Horse Society Teaching exams. She spent a full year studying at the famous Talland School of Equitation in Cirencester, under Molly Sivewright.
Our Goals:

Developing horsemen and women with a solid foundation in the
basics of riding and horsemanship has always been the driving force at FSH. We
believe that once a person has a strong balanced position on horseback the doors
of possibility open.
We thoroughly agree with Vince Lombardi that the basics, practiced until
they are flawless, will produce success. We also unequivocally believe
that it is not possible to be a good horseman or horsewoman without developing
and practicing good horse management skills. We strive to give our students all
the tools that they need to be a successful horseman and horsewomen for a
lifetime with horses.
